strength training classes

SMALL GROUP TRAINING

Small group training classes are 55 minutes and broken in to two classes formats - Mobility x Strength (every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) and Strength x Conditioning (every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday). Trainers teach the same class all day on any specific day across studios. Before any first session with a client, current and past health issues, injury history and goals will be discussed via phone or in person. Workouts are specifically built around sustainability, injury prevention and increasing performance. You should be able to do the things you love without pain as you age. Prioritizing form and mobility is just the start of taking ownership in the way you move and becoming more confident that you can do more than you ever imagined. Classes are capped at 10-12 participants.

STRENGTH & mobility training (CLASS)

A class geared towards individuals who want to prioritize strength over cardio. Through defined preventative exercises and strength training plans, we train to help clients avoid injury and perform better while building a community around like minded individuals. Note, this class is a great option for any individual looking to add strength training to their current programming.

STRENGTH conditioning (class)

This class combines strength training with high intensity interval movements. Workout will include a thorough warm up, circuit training and a high intensity focus using rowers, bikes, turf, and high impact movements. While modifications are available, participants should be ready to work anaerobically.

Lead Trainer Sarah Pay

certified personal trainer, yoga teacher, wellness coach

Sarah entered the Charlotte fitness scene in 2013 when she left a 10 year career as a designer to launch a company geared towards training, coaching and caring for busy women who needed movement in their lives, like herself. With the closure of many gyms during covid, she took her business home and began training in her garage and driveway. She knew the pandemic wasn’t the end, but rather a new beginning.

She joined the Cross Conditioning Training team in February of 2021 and found a home that aligned with her training goals and coaching philosophy on every level. In addition to coaching classes, she was able to bring her past experience training new coaches and her focus on programming that was safe, effective, well rounded and scalable for all fitness levels.

Sarah is also a 500HR ERYT yoga teacher, a certified Nutrition coach and a Sleep, Stress Management and Recovery coach. She efforts to practice all that she teaches and continues to educate herself in all areas of wellness in order to help her clients harness the best of science and nature to live their best lives.
